Wir leben in Long Beach und haben unsere Eltern vor ungefähr 6 Monaten dort untergebracht. In der ersten Woche hätte meine Mutter sterben können, weil sie ihre wichtigsten Medikamente ausgeschlossen hatte. Wenn wir nicht doppelt nachgesehen hätten, hätte es sie getötet. Sie nimmt Blutverdünner. Es stellt sich heraus, dass Medikamente, die Sie in das Organizer-Tablett nehmen, weggeworfen werden. Sie bewahren Medikamente nur in Flaschen auf, haben uns das aber nie erzählt. Nur 1, vielleicht 2 Gesundheitstechniker wussten, was sie taten. Eine war Elaine und ich erinnere mich nicht an den Namen der anderen. Sie würden denken, die anderen wurden von der Straße genommen. Sie waren ahnungslos. Wir zahlten extra für Dienstleistungen wie die Verteilung von Medikamenten, Toiletten und Anziehen für meine Mutter. Es stellte sich heraus, dass nur eine Person für die Nachtschicht-Toilette zuständig war. Meine Mutter wartete in der ersten Nacht 30 Minuten. Sie haben meine Mutter nie verändert, es sei denn, einer von uns, meine Geschwister oder ich, bestand darauf. Ein paar Mädchen, die zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten hereinkamen, um meine Mutter auf die Toilette zu bringen. Sie standen nur verwirrt da und starrten. Mein Vater musste ihnen sagen, was sie tun sollten. Als hätten sie den Job noch nie gemacht. Man ließ sogar den Müll in der trinkbaren Toilette. Ich habe mich nicht einmal darum gekümmert, es rauszuwerfen. Mein Vater hatte uns in der Nähe, um unserer Mutter in Long Beach zu helfen, als sie langsamer wurde. Er half ihr etwa ein Jahr lang, sich um sie zu kümmern. Wir sind Lehrer und wussten, dass wir ihm tagsüber nicht mehr helfen können. Jetzt waren sie beide weiter weg und mein Vater wurde verrückt, als er versuchte, sich selbst um sie zu kümmern. Wir mussten uns immer noch abwechseln, deshalb zahlten wir in erster Linie 6000 Dollar im Monat für die Pflege. Es war ein Albtraum. Wir waren wieder auf dem ersten Platz, zahlten aber monatlich einen riesigen Betrag und reisten weiter. Wir waren 2 Monate dort. Nach mehreren Beschwerden war klar, dass wir ihnen nicht vertrauen konnten. Um das Ganze abzurunden, gaben sie uns unsere Kaution nicht zurück. Mein Vater kam genauso krank nach Hause wie unsere Mutter aus dem Schlaf und war so verärgert über die ganze Erfahrung. Der eine Stern ist für das Essen. Es war sehr gut, aber wir haben die Artikel, die wir ursprünglich getestet haben, nie wieder gesehen. Rosanne
