Mein Sohn besuchte die Vorschule in Walsingham. In diesem Jahr war ich in der Graduiertenschule und wir erhielten eine großzügige finanzielle Unterstützung. Mein Sohn liebte seine Lehrer und seine Klassenkameraden. Im Frühjahr seines Vorschuljahres beantragten wir erneut finanzielle Unterstützung (für das nächste Jahr) und erhielten ungefähr 5% des Betrags, den wir zuvor erhalten hatten. Ich war noch in der Graduiertenschule, was es meinem Sohn finanziell unmöglich machte, im nächsten Jahr daran teilzunehmen. Es war schwer, eine klare Antwort darauf zu bekommen, warum der Betrag, den wir erhielten, so stark zurückging. Das allgemeine Gefühl war zu schlecht, zu traurig. Der Mangel an Erklärungen war aus mehreren Gründen enttäuschend, vor allem, weil wir uns als Teil der Walsingham-Familie fühlten. Darüber hinaus schien es im Widerspruch zum katholischen Glauben zu stehen, dass eine Schule ihre Familien mit niedrigem Einkommen als verfügbar behandelt.

Ich empfehle, Ihre Kinder nur dann zur Schule gehen zu lassen, wenn Ihre Familie keine finanzielle Unterstützung benötigt. Wenn Sie wie wir finanzielle Unterstützung benötigen, haben Sie möglicherweise genug Hilfe, um sich ein Jahr leisten zu können, und dann nicht genug, um sie im nächsten Jahr zurückkehren zu lassen. Wir könnten es uns wahrscheinlich leisten, unsere Kinder jetzt dorthin zu schicken, haben aber unsere Lektion gelernt.
