Vor 24 Jahren hatte ich Gail Swift als Lehrerin der ersten Klasse an der Schenck-Schule. Ich behaupte nie, perfekt zu sein. Wie die meisten Siebenjährigen suchte ich meinen Platz in der Welt. Sie erfand jedoch bösartige Lügen über mein Verhalten und erzählte diese meinen beeinflussbaren Ersteltern, die ihnen zumindest teilweise glaubten. Als Ergebnis wurde mir gesagt, ich würde ausgewiesen und mein Leben wäre ruiniert. (War 2 weitere bei Schenck. Jahre ohne nennenswerte Probleme und Abschluss an der UGA). Als mir gesagt wurde, dass ich ein kompletter Versager im Leben sein würde, der nirgendwo hingehen könnte, versuchte ich im Alter von 7 Jahren, mich umzubringen. Meine Eltern glaubten mir schließlich und ich bekam die Unterstützung, die ich brauchte. Meiner Meinung nach macht Gail aus irgendeinem kranken Grund Jagd auf einige ihrer jungen Schüler. Es tut mir leid, dass ich mich zum Teilen verpflichtet fühlte.

Die Swift School in Roswell ist einfach eine großartige Schule, ich würde eine ausgezeichnete wählen, wenn ich könnte. Meine Tochter begann Swift in der dritten Klasse zu besuchen, nachdem eine mittelschwere Legasthenie diagnostiziert wurde. Sie hat bei Swift lesen gelernt, aber was noch wichtiger ist, sie hat KEINE LÜCKEN in ihrem Lehrplan, weil sie ihren gesamten Schultag an einem Ort verbringt, der auf eine Weise unterrichtet, die sie versteht. Sie verbringt ihre Tage mit Klassenkameraden, die wie sie sind, natürlich mit unterschiedlichen Stärken und Bedürfnissen, so dass sie sich mit ihrer Legasthenie vertraut gemacht hat, selbstbewusst mit den Tricks und Werkzeugen ist, die sie jetzt wissen muss und die sie wie ein Ninja verwenden kann; und das ist von unschätzbarem Wert!

Was mir am meisten auffällt, wenn ich an Swift denke, ist, dass die Swift School ihren Schülern eine maßgeschneiderte Ausbildung bietet. Was ein Student braucht, bekommt ein Student, und sie bleiben nicht unbemerkt. Es ist wunderbar!

Mein Sohn hat in der 2. Klasse an der Swift School angefangen. Er hat so große Fortschritte beim Lesen gemacht und liebt das Lernen aufgrund der fürsorglichen Umgebung und der unterstützenden Lehrer und Mitarbeiter. Das Erlernen des Lesens auf OG-Art hat einen enormen Unterschied gemacht. Wir sind so dankbar für eine Schule, die all seine Stärken berücksichtigt und ihn dabei unterstützt, sich in schwierigeren Bereichen zu verbessern.
