Ich habe hier meine PADI Open Water Zertifizierung gemacht. Der Tauchlehrer (und andere Tauchprofis) waren gut, verständnisvoll und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Leute, die den Tauchshop betrieben, waren auch super freundlich.
Seven Seas Scuba liegt günstig in der Cannery Row, und die eigentlichen Freiwassertauchgänge werden am weniger als 100 Meter entfernten Strand durchgeführt. Das macht Dinge wie das Auffüllen leerer Flaschen, das Ausleihen von Ausrüstung oder die Rückgabe von Ausrüstung wirklich einfach.
Der einzige Nachteil, den ich sehe, ist das kalte Monterey-Wasser, das oft eine sehr schlechte Sicht hat. Ich habe meinen Kumpel ein paar Mal verloren, als ich durch Abschnitte ging, in denen die Sicht nur 3 Fuß betrug. Natürlich hat der Laden keine Kontrolle darüber.
Ich möchte gestern einen geführten Tauchgang mit Seven Seas machen (als OWD-Anfänger), und hatte eine großartige Erfahrung. Dave, der Divemaster/Instructor, war sehr sympathisch und enthusiastisch und es war großartig, mit ihm zu tauchen. Auch die Leihausrüstung war in Topform.
Der Clou für diesen Tauchshop ist jedoch die Lage: Es ist direkt gegenüber vom Wellenbrecher - wenn Sie also dort tauchen möchten, können Sie sich einfach im Shop anziehen, hinübergehen und ins Wasser springen.
