Bush-Haus-Museum
Das Bush House Museum befindet sich in der Mission Street SE in der Nähe der Innenstadt von Salem. Dieses historische Haus wurde 1878 von Asahel Bush II erbaut, der während seiner Zeit als Redakteur/Herausgeber der Zeitung Statesman Journal (heute einfach als „Statesman“ bekannt) ein bekannter Geschäftsmann/Politiker war.
Heute können Besucher dieses schöne Herrenhaus im viktorianischen Stil besichtigen, das mit antiken Möbeln/Artefakten restauriert wurde, die das Leben im späten 19. Jahrhundert widerspiegeln, als es von Mitgliedern der Asahel-Familie selbst gebaut/bewohnt wurde! Besucher können etwas über das Leben und die Geschichte der frühen Pioniere erfahren, während sie die atemberaubende Aussicht auf das darunter liegende Tal des Willamette River genießen!
