Avoid at all cost
Avoid at all cost would be a good way to summarise the experience.
We bought a property at a new Prestige development in Bangalore and were looking for interior designers to build our home. We found Morph via recommendations from Prestige. We contacted them as they are a Prestige partner company. We assumed that since they work with Prestige they would have exclusive access to the property and this would complete the project smoother without any hassles. Once we paid the advance amount of Rs. 1,05,000 they onboarded us to the design phase. The expectation from there was to see a detailed design phase mapping every nook and corner of the property with regular updates in the coming weeks and that we would be presented with a fully rendered 3D design of our dream home before the execution.
After they received the advance payment things changed. They would schedule a meeting once in a while, sometimes won't make it to the meeting and end up wasting our time, especially affecting our own work commitments. The poor communication was coupled with a laid back attitude where they pretty much sat with an incomplete sketchup. Every other week the update would always be the same - that's little to no progress.
I initially raised concerns that they visit this new development on site and ensure they have the right floor plans and layout etc.. They assured me the floor plan that they are working on is the correct one.
After 3 months of not much progress I started panicking due to the apathetic attitude from Morph. I had raised these concerns multiple times to Morph and all they could reply (if they did reply) were empty words. At this stage I am worried and start looking at alternative interior designers in Bangalore via houzz. A couple of weeks into this process and chatting with the best rated designers I find out that Morph has so far been beyond incompetent. I had more fruitful intro discussions with these designers than the ones I had with Morph for more than 3 months. Their inputs helped shape my overall design. All the designers asked for accurate floor plans in their intro sessions, so I contacted Prestige for the same. After getting hold of the official plans I was shocked to find that Morph has so far been working with the wrong floor plan. They had not even visited the site once.
Despite this, in nearly every meeting for 3-4 months, they kept saying that they are close to production in another two meetings. What's shocking is how incompetent they are in claiming this without even visiting the site once. It was a scary thought that they would go ahead with production with no detailed plan. The best option ahead of us was to end the project with Morph. They didn't even bother closing this project properly and nor refunding us any of our hard earned money of Rs. 1,05,000 after having wasted several months of our time with nothing to really show for.
Incompetence, poor communication and customer service define Morph.
