I recently enrolled my child at Kahakai Elementary and I am extremely impressed with the school so far. The teachers are knowledgeable and passionate about their work. Dies war in den 70er Jahren, als meine blonde, blauäugige Tochter, die sehr intelligent ist und war, dort die Grundschule besuchte. Sie wurde in den Bauch geschlagen und von anderen Kindern beschimpft, weil es damals eine ziemlich ländliche Gegend war. Es gab und gibt es möglicherweise immer noch. ein sehr anti-haoli (festländer, neuankömmling, weiß), gefühl unter vielen "einheimischen". Dies traf zu, obwohl sie dort von 5 bis 18 Jahren lebte und ihre jüngere Schwester dort geboren und aufgewachsen war. Versteh mich bitte nicht falsch. Ich bin in NYC aufgewachsen, lebe jetzt in New Mexico und liebe Hawaii sehr. Ich liebe, respektiere und kenne die vielen Kulturen, die dort nebeneinander existieren und gedeihen. Mein einziger Einwand ist die Haltung der Administratoren vieler lokaler Schulen, die diese Bigotterie nicht nur tolerierten, sondern förderten und förderten. Wo immer es existiert und auf der ganzen Welt verewigt wird, schadet Bigotterie so vielen Menschen! Dies gilt unabhängig davon, welche der verschiedenen Rassen, Kulturen, Ethnien, physischen Typen und / oder sexuellen, religiösen oder politischen Orientierungen angestrebt werden.
Trotz einiger dieser Erfahrungen pflegen meine beiden Töchter eine tiefe Liebe zu Hawaii. Wenn diese Erfahrungen nicht durch Bigotterie und durch sorgfältige Unterstützung und Anleitung durch Eltern / Gemeinde / Geistliche / Familie schwer beschädigt wurden, können sie, und in den Fällen meiner Töchter, ihre Sensibilität für den oft heimtückischen, aber manchmal offensichtlich grausamen Schaden dieser Art erhöhen Denkweise und Verhalten können sich auf andere auswirken. Es hat mir jedoch offensichtlich nie beigebracht, wie man ohne den übermäßigen Gebrauch von zermürbenden, mühsam langwierigen Sätzen schreibt !! lol :-(

Dies ist die größte Schule, in der ich je gewesen bin, und großartige Lehrer und großartiges Personal

Kahakai ist die öffentliche Grundschule südlich von Kailua-Kona. Meine Kinder, die die Schule besucht haben, haben alle die Erfahrung genossen und ihre Ausbildung ist gut vorangekommen - die Lehrer sind wunderbar für die Kinder und es war eine Freude, mit ihnen als Eltern umzugehen.

Es gibt einen Punkt in Bezug auf Hawaiis öffentliche Schulen, den ich ansprechen möchte: Bevor wir nach Hawaii zogen, hörten wir viele anekdotische Beweise dafür, dass weiße Kinder vom Festland an den öffentlichen Schulen ausgesucht und gemobbt wurden, aber ich freue mich, dies zu berichten Meine Kinder hatten hier kein solches Problem. Aufgrund der Erfahrungen unserer Familie würde ich diese Schule ohne Vorbehalte anderen Eltern empfehlen.

Ich bin Absolvent dieser Schule (ich bin gerade in der High School) und fand diese Schule wirklich gut. Es hat mir definitiv geholfen, mich auf die Mittelschule vorzubereiten.
