Meine Tochter ging wegen starker Schmerzen in die Notaufnahme von Gallatin, wie ihr Dr. vorgeschlagen hatte. Sie wurde in ein Zimmer ohne Decken, ohne Kissen und ohne Ruftaste gebracht (sie bat um eine Decke und bekam nie eine). Als ich Dr. darauf aufmerksam machte, nickte sie nur. Sie sagten ihr, dass sie mit Flüssigkeiten beginnen würden und nach 4 Stunden nie. Die Urinprobe, die sie gab, schaffte es nie ins Labor. Sie boten an, ein weiteres Exemplar zu nehmen.

Jetzt ist mir klar, dass die Notaufnahme kein Hotel ist und es Menschen mit kritischen und lebensbedrohlichen Verletzungen gibt, und manchmal muss man warten. Ich verstehe das. Was ich nicht verstehe, war das völlige Fehlen jeglichen Einfühlungsvermögens. Der Dr., mit dem ich gesprochen habe, war sehr knapp und abweisend. Ich könnte das sogar abrutschen lassen, WENN sie etwas getan hätten, um ihr zu helfen. Stattdessen wurde sie mit dem Versprechen nach Hause geschickt, sie mit einem Termin für ein anderes Verfahren anzurufen. Diese Notaufnahme fehlt in vielen Bereichen völlig!
