Garber United Methodist Church: Ein Ort der Anbetung, Gemeinschaft und des Dienstes
Die Garber United Methodist Church ist eine lebendige und einladende Glaubensgemeinschaft in New Bern, North Carolina. Mit einer reichen Geschichte, die bis ins Jahr 1884 zurückreicht, dient die Garber Church seit über einem Jahrhundert den spirituellen Bedürfnissen ihrer Mitglieder und der breiteren Gemeinschaft.
Bei Garber Church glauben wir, dass Anbetung das Herzstück unseres Glaubens ist. Wir bieten zwei Gottesdienste am Sonntagmorgen an, um unterschiedlichen Zeitplänen und Vorlieben gerecht zu werden. Unser 8-Uhr-Gottesdienst findet im Heiligtum statt und bietet einen traditionelleren Gottesdienststil mit Hymnen, Liturgie und Abendmahl. Unser Gottesdienst um 11:00 Uhr findet in der Morris Hall statt und bietet zeitgenössische Musik unter der Leitung unserer Lobpreisband.
Neben unseren Sonntagsgottesdiensten bieten wir unter der Woche ein abwechslungsreiches Programm für Kinder, Jugendliche und Erwachsene an. Unsere Sonntagsschulklassen bieten Möglichkeiten zum Lernen und zur Gemeinschaft für alle Altersgruppen. Wir haben auch kleine Gruppen, die sich regelmäßig zum Bibelstudium, Gebet oder anderen gemeinsamen Interessen treffen.
Bei Garber Church verpflichten wir uns, anderen sowohl lokal als auch global zu dienen. Wir unterstützen mehrere lokale Ministerien wie die Religious Community Services (RCS), die Bedürftigen in Craven County Nahrungsmittelhilfe leisten. Wir arbeiten auch mit internationalen Organisationen wie Imagine No Malaria zusammen, die sich für die Ausrottung von Malaria in Afrika einsetzen.
