Fahrgäste werden angegriffen und der Ein- und Ausstieg in die Straßenbahn durch die vom Straßenbahnfahrer kontrollierte Straßenbahntür verweigert - insbesondere bei älteren Straßenbahnen. Fahrer können sich nicht entschuldigen oder den Fahrgästen helfen, indem sie die Tür wieder öffnen, und die Fahrgäste müssen sich selbst herausholen, wenn sie zwischen Tür und Wand stecken bleiben. Derzeit gibt es keine Entschädigung für Verletzungen dieser Art durch Yarra Trams. Die einzige Entschädigung ist, wenn die Straßenbahn zu spät kommt. Die Entschädigung ist der Fahrpreis, aber wenn der Vorfall während der Freizone passiert ist, gibt es überhaupt keine Entschädigung.

Die meisten Fahrer sind respektlos und kümmern sich nicht um ihren eigenen Job oder ihre Passagiere. Sie würden Passagiere anschreien, die vor der Tür stehen, aber Passagieren, die Fragen stellen und sagen: "Ich weiß nicht", nicht helfen.
