Die Anwohner müssen wissen, welche erstaunlichen Ressourcen ihnen zur Verfügung stehen. Ich habe hier bisher eine großartige Erfahrung gemacht und freue mich sehr, dass Contra Costa dieses Zentrum hat und dass es kostenlos ist. Ich erinnere mich nicht wirklich, wer mir von CC Crisis Center erzählt hat, aber ich rief sie an, kurz nachdem ich meine Schwester bei einem unerwartet tragischen Unfall verloren hatte. Es dauerte ein paar Wochen, bis ich zu einem persönlichen Berater kam, aber darauf war ich vorbereitet. Sie haben mich mit jemandem zusammengebracht, mit dem ich mich jetzt sehr wohl fühle. Und deshalb dauert es ein bisschen. Das CC Crisis Center kann Einzel- oder Gruppenberatung oder beides anbieten.

Ehrlich gesagt, ich weiß nicht, ob ihre Dienste über die Trauerberatung hinausgehen. Aber für meinen Verlust war Trauerberatung das, was ich brauchte, und ich habe die Ressourcen meines HealthNet-Versicherungsplans wirklich genutzt. Ich fühle mich so glücklich, diesen Ort gefunden zu haben und einen Berater zu bekommen, von dem ich glaube, dass er mir wirklich helfen wird, zu heilen.

Einzelberatung ist vielleicht nicht für jedermann oder nicht für jede persönliche Situation nützlich, aber für mich war es im Moment wirklich ein großer Lebensretter. Ich bin eine positive Person, die Hilfe braucht, um zu lernen, wie man auf gesunde Weise trauert, und das CC Crisis Center hat dies möglich gemacht. Ich bin noch neu im Prozess, mit einem Fremden über sehr persönliche Momente und Gefühle zu sprechen, aber ich glaube wirklich, dass dies mir helfen wird, meinen Verlust auf möglichst gesunde Weise zu bewältigen.
