Sie sprach über Hyperlexie und die Therapie, die sie speziell für die Arbeit mit diesen Kindern entwickelt hatte. Jahrelang kämpfte ich darum, dass der Therapeut meiner Söhne verstand, dass traditionelle Autismustherapien nicht für ihn geeignet zu sein schienen. Ich wusste jetzt, dass es eine Therapie für meinen Sohn gab, aber leider befand sich die Klinik in Illinois, einem Bundesstaat, in dem wir nicht leben. Ich wandte mich an CHAT in der Hoffnung, dass ich zumindest mit jemandem über meine sprechen könnte Sohn und dass sie mir vielleicht helfen könnten, in die richtige Richtung zu gehen, um mit ihm zu arbeiten. Ciara sprach nicht nur ausführlich mit mir, sondern sagte mir auch, dass sie sich gerne mit unseren Söhnen SLP beraten würden, wo wir leben! Ciara und ich zoomen auch einmal im Monat. Ich kann sie wissen lassen, wie es unserem Sohn geht, und da wir wegen der Pandemie zu Hause unterrichten, kann ich darüber nachdenken, was ich meinem Sohn beibringe.
